Group Health Insurance is the most popular type of health care coverage in the United States today, with an estimated 60% of Americans being covered by a group health insurance plan. The reason for the popularity is the advantages one gets from being a part of a group or business plan. Companies spend billions annually on health insurance for their employees, therefore saving you the costs of expensive medical bills. Many employees today even consider their health insurance to be the biggest benefit they receive from their jobs.

Companies are now experiencing dramatic changes in the cost of providing employees health care, as costs associated with the plans continues to rise. Unfortunately, this trend forces companies to ask employees to increase the "out of pocket" expenses they need to incur.
